Legal information

Terms & conditions.

These terms define the Site’s informational purpose, the limits of directory listings and your responsibilities when using the content.

Effective 19 August 2026AustraliaVersion 1.0

1. Acceptance and eligibility.

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to and use of amberhorizonlab.com and its content (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms and the linked Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

The Site is intended for people aged 18 years or over. The age gate is a self-confirmation and not identity or age verification. If you access the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to act for it in relation to your use.

2. Nature and boundaries of the Site.

Amber Horizon Lab is an independent informational publication about casino equipment, electronics, IT, AV, surveillance, physical security, interiors, architecture, furniture, finishes, art, suppliers and fit-out practices associated with Australian casino and integrated-resort environments.

No gambling or financial service

The Site does not offer, operate, facilitate or process gambling, games, odds, bets, accounts, bonuses, affiliate wagering, deposits, withdrawals, payments, credit or financial advice. It does not teach gambling strategy. No content should be understood as an invitation or inducement to gamble.

We may modify, suspend or withdraw content or functionality without notice. We do not promise uninterrupted access, permanent availability of a listing or compatibility with every browser or assistive technology, although we aim to provide an accessible, useful publication.

3. Supplier and solution directory.

Directory entries are editorial research based primarily on public official information available at the stated review date. Inclusion, position, description or external link is not approval, certification, accreditation, ranking, recommendation, warranty or endorsement by Amber Horizon Lab.

We do not warrant that a supplier:

  • still offers a described range, service, location or representation;
  • is suitable, licensed, insured, solvent or available for a particular project;
  • has products that meet a particular code, standard, authority or contractual requirement;
  • will provide any stated quality, price, lead time, warranty or aftercare;
  • has reviewed, approved or agreed with our summary.

You must conduct your own due diligence, obtain current technical evidence and professional advice, and contract directly with the relevant supplier or consultant. Amber Horizon Lab is not a party to any enquiry, tender, appointment, purchase, delivery, defect, payment or dispute.

Corrections and removal requests

Accurate corrections are welcome at editorial@amberhorizonlab.com. Provide the exact page, disputed statement and current primary evidence. We retain editorial discretion, subject to applicable law, over selection, wording, updates and removal. A request does not guarantee a particular outcome or timeframe.

4. General information—not professional advice.

Content is general and may not account for your site, jurisdiction, building classification, contract, operator, programme or risk. It is not legal, regulatory, financial, engineering, fire-safety, accessibility, acoustic, electrical, cultural, conservation, procurement, construction, medical or other professional advice.

Standards, legislation, approvals, supplier information and professional practice change. You are responsible for checking current primary sources and appointing appropriately qualified Australian professionals. Do not delay or disregard professional or emergency support because of Site content.

5. Intellectual property.

Unless stated otherwise, the Site’s original text, structure, visual design, generated editorial imagery, graphics and branding are owned by or licensed to Amber Horizon Lab and protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Supplier names and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification and commentary only; no affiliation is implied.

You may view the Site and print or save reasonable extracts for your internal, non-commercial research, provided attribution and legal notices remain intact. You may link to public pages. You must not, without prior written permission:

  • reproduce or republish substantial Site content as your own directory or publication;
  • sell, license, syndicate or commercially exploit the Site or generated images;
  • remove attribution or copyright notices;
  • use our branding in a way that suggests endorsement or partnership;
  • systematically scrape, harvest or build a competing database from the Site, except as permitted by law;
  • use content to train or populate a commercial model or dataset where permission is legally required.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fair dealing or other statutory exceptions.

6. Acceptable use.

You must not use the Site to:

  • break law, infringe rights, mislead others or impersonate a person or organisation;
  • introduce malware, probe security, bypass access controls or interfere with availability;
  • send automated traffic that unreasonably burdens the Site;
  • harvest contact details for unsolicited marketing;
  • present Site content as regulatory approval, professional certification or supplier endorsement;
  • promote gambling to children or vulnerable people using our name or content.

We may restrict access or take proportionate action where necessary to protect the Site, users or others.

7. External links and third-party content.

External links are provided for convenience and source discovery. We do not control external availability, accuracy, security, accessibility, privacy, products or services. Visiting an external website creates a direct relationship between you and that operator under its terms. You should verify the destination before supplying information or entering a contract.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability.

The Site is provided on an “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we do not give express or implied warranties that content is complete, current, accurate, fit for a particular purpose, free from interruption or free from harmful components. Reasonable editorial care does not remove the need for independent verification.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Amber Horizon Lab and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss; loss of profit, revenue, opportunity, data, goodwill or anticipated savings; project delay; procurement or replacement cost; or loss arising from reliance on content, external sites, supplier acts or service interruption.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

9. Indemnity.

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Amber Horizon Lab against third-party claims, loss and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the Site, infringement of third-party rights, material breach of these Terms or misrepresentation of Site content as professional approval or endorsement. This obligation does not apply to the extent loss was caused by our negligence, breach of law or other responsibility that cannot be excluded.

10. General terms.

Changes

We may update these Terms. The effective date and version will change, and continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law.

Severability and waiver

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it is read down or severed to the minimum extent necessary without affecting the rest. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.

Assignment

You may not assign rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer the Site and these Terms as part of a genuine business or publication reorganisation, subject to applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia. Subject to any non-excludable right to bring a claim elsewhere, the courts of Victoria and relevant Commonwealth courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

11. Contact.
